Executive Search and Placement
Defined Search International is a specialized recruitment firm. Our client companies have successfully used our services to source candidates for senior, executive or other highly specialized positions in organizations. Using our vast network and proprietary search technology we define the availability of suitable candidates that match our client’s requirements. We then further investigate whether the individual may be interested in making a career change and as well as carrying out initial screening, negotiations on remuneration, and the employment contract. Defined Search International specializes in industries such as commercial interiors, contract furniture, commercial real estate, energy, and private equity / investment banking. There are two main types of searches we conduct:
Contingent searches are compensated only upon the successful completion of the search—typically when the candidate accepts the position. Fees for this type of search can be a flat negotiated fee but are generally a percentage of the candidate’s first year guaranteed income paid by the client.
In a retained search, our firm is paid a retainer (up-front fee) by the client to perform a specific search for a corporate officer or other senior executive position. The fee for this type of search is for the time and expertise of the search firm. Our firm is employed to conduct the entire recruitment effort from startup until the candidate starts working.

The Defined Search International are trusted advisors in providing business strategy to Manufacturer and Dealer Principal Owners within the contract office furniture industry. Our primary concentration is to manage the entire M&A process for the manufacturer or dealer owner looking to sell or merge their business. Defined Search International in partnership with our legal team develops and manages the strategic acquisition process while sourcing financially qualified buyers and who range from individual business owners to multi-market medium size businesses to diverse opportunity driven-investment groups.
In our experience we have found that employers often have difficulty determining proper compensation packages for potential new hires. Our firm conducts remuneration benchmark studies in various industries to assist our clients in developing competitive total compensation packages to attract top talent.
